Transfers
Individuals that participate in AccesSurf events vary in the level of assistance needed to get in and out of the water. While some individuals might only need you to walk beside them down to the water, others may require you to lift, carry, or use a mobi chair.
Transferring refers to moving from one location to another. Below are some different ways a person can transfer from the beach to the water.
Each of these transfers requires a volunteer to follow certain steps and precautions in order to keep yourself and your athlete safe.
